Hey! Have you ever wondered how your favorite games, like Fortnite or Minecraft, were made? Well, if you have, you would love to come to "Games in the making!" We will show you a game we created on scratch, and then break it down, explaining the fundamentals and core codes. Now for our pro coders, we have the perfect thing for you. We are going to do a competition where you have to code a game in 10 minutes. And now for the best part, there is a prize for 3rd, 2nd, and 1st place! By the end of the session, you will have learned the basics to coding. This will be a fun learning experience for future coders! We hope to see y'all there!
Hey! You ever wonder how high-quality videos are made? Well, we'll show you the methods used by most editors: using CapCut! You'll be able to use all kinds of tricks & tactics to edit ANYTHING, from effect and transitions, to tweaks and sounds. (We'll even have a little contest for the pros.)
When students come to our group, they will first be introduced into some coding, and then sorted into two groups. The first group will learn about coding commands in Minecraft Education and the second group will learn about writing python on "Codecademy." Participants should leave knowing basic code in their respective programs.
Ever wondered how your computer works? Well, it is because of circuits! Prepare for an hands on lesson where you will do what you learn by creating a circuit and experiment by changing components to make it your own. Finally, we will have a fun quiz with prizes
We will briefly cover aspects of aviation, such as aerodynamics and physics that allow planes to stay airborne. Our session will include many hands on activities such as an opportunity to fly a plane in a real online server and a chance to compete for a prize in a paper airplane competition. All of these will require their new knowledge of the concepts mentioned earlier.
